The New Twitter Blue Is Now Available To You

Attention all Twitter users! Elon Musk has prepared something special for you. Presenting, the new and improved version of Twitter Blue! Since Musk’s takeover in October, he has taken numerous steps towards reforming the way the platform works. Twitter Blue’s new-look is just the beginning some say.

What’s New

So far, the new Twitter Blue is only available to IOS users. If you’ve got an iPhone or iPad you’re in luck and will be able to begin using the new subscription service. The price to pay for Twitter Blue is now $7.99 but included in this price is that little blue check mark that so many have been after. You read that right! If you subscribe to the new Twitter Blue you’ll be able to get a verification check mark.

Musk promised other features in the new and improved version of Twitter Blue such as “priority in replies, mentions, and search, and “half as many ads,” The Verge reports.

Since its still rolling out there are still some features being firmed up. One help center blog post outlines what the new blue check mark means, eligibility, and what the official label means.

Moving Blue Forward

With the new verification check mark meaning and the revamped subscription some users are getting confused about what everything means. Mike Sington weighing in on what the blue check mark can mean. Here’s what he had to say,

There are so many changes going on at Twitter that its hard to know which end is up. if you were considering getting Twitter Blue you should be able to do so easily. However, if you’re new to Twitter (within the last day), then you might hit a wall.

“Any new Twitter accounts created on or after November 9, 2022 will not be able to sign up for Twitter Blue at this time,” says Twitter.

So that being said it might be a good idea to keep an eye on Twitter’s next steps.
